Harman Projects is pleased to announce our participation in CONTEXT Art Miami. This will be the third year in a row the gallery exhibits in the Miami fair. Our booth will feature new works by Esso Andrews, BEZT, DALeast, Mark Drew, Alison Friend, Frank Gonzales, Aaron Hockey, Sarah Joncas, Josh Keyes, Scott Listfield, Louis Michel, Chuck Sperry, Martin Whatson, Martin Wittfooth and Hama Woods.
Esao Andrews is a Japanese-American artist and freelance illustrator. With his haunted subject matter and often-times colorful palate the artist has established a career both in the fine art and commercial world. Bezt's work is known for its dream-like compositions, which often feature a central figure lost in thought. His style is characterized by a combination of saturated colors, loose brushstrokes, and refined lines and patterns. The versatile artist DALeast captures fragments of time and space on canvas, paper, and in public. Through his creations, the artist reflects the reality of impermanence, movement and energy through a juxtaposition of abstract and figurative gestures while creating awareness for contemporary topics highlighting environmental issues and the inevitable decay of existence. Mark Drew is an Australian artist based in Tokyo since 2009. His narrative-based work takes on the format of a newspaper comic panel, replacing quotable rap lyrics as dialogue for his iconic pop culture subjects. Alison Friend graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1996 with a degree in Fine Art specialising in Printmaking. Her transition to oil painting, marked by her unique anthropomorphic portrayal of animals, has brought her widespread acclaim. Frank Gonzales was born in Mesa, Arizona and grew up in Tempe. His work explores ornithological subjects, organic and plant elements and color. Aaron Horkey was born in Southwestern Minnesota, and is currently an Illustrator in residence at Black Osprey Dead Arts.
Sarah Joncas is a Toronto-based artist who has been exhibiting in galleries since she was 16. Over the years, her work has matured into a successful fusion of high quality realism and whimsical painterly beauty. Josh Keyes is an artist with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest. His work is set within full landscapes, and an almost photorealistic quality while conveying a broad emotional spectrum inclusive of hope and regrowth. Scott Listfield is known for his paintings featuring a lone exploratory astronaut lost in a landscape cluttered with pop culture icons, corporate logos, and tongue-in-cheek science fiction references. Louis Michel is a UK-based painter, sculptor and muralist. He uses his art as a way to highlight the 6th mass extinction, climate change and species equality. Chuck Sperry is a master printer and artist currently working and living between the San Francisco Bay Area and the South of France. For the past two decades, the artist has created hundreds of notable illustrations in his signature psychedelic style, during this time he has developed a cult following of art and music lovers alike and is one of the most preeminent gig poster artists working today. Martin Whatson is a Norwegian street artist best known for his calligraphic scribbles in grayscale voids. His works can be seen to mirror the rise and fall of the streets, as he symbolically recreates the urban environment, then vandalizes it to reveal his vibrant transformations. Hama Woods is a female stencil artist based in Oslo. In a search for methods to communicate the importance and revival of nature, Woods' stencils intuitively reflect and introduce a sociological approach to greed and human consumption, and its direct impact on our natural environment.
Please join us at booth A14 at CONTEXT Art Miami, opening to the public on Tuesday, December 3rd and running through the weekend until Sunday, December 8th. For more information, additional images, or exclusive content, email info@harmanprojects.com
